How to Care for a Closed Terrarium
Closed terrariums need balance, not frequent watering. These simple habits help your miniature ecosystem stay healthy.
Use bright indirect light
Place your terrarium where it gets bright indirect light. Avoid direct sun to prevent overheating inside the glass.
Condensation is normal
Light condensation is part of the natural water cycle in a healthy closed terrarium and will change with room temperature.
Adjust moisture gently
If constantly dripping, open the lid briefly to release humidity. If very dry for a long period, add only a small amount of water.

This is a beautiful terrarium and a nice kit altogether. It was purchased as a gift for my mom and stepdad, and they absolutely loved it. I’ve marked it down a star because of the poor instructions. Telling the customer to ‘pour in enough water to make the soil a brownie batter consistency’ is quite vague and open to interpretation. Thus, my mom and stepdad ended up overwatering the terrarium. It’s an easy fix…

Wow this was better than I expected! It had everything I needed and then some to make an awesome terrarium! I used my own Dinosaurs but it came with some mini figurines also. \nThe QR code that takes you to the videos was beyond helpful and this was a relaxing experience for me. Closed terrariums usually need very little water once they are balanced. The moisture inside the container circulates naturally. If the terrarium becomes too dry, you can add a small amount of water. If it becomes too wet, you can open it briefly.
