What It Is
Our aromatherapy perfume making in NYC is a hands-on, sensory workshop where you build a custom essential oil blend from scratch instead of choosing a pre-made scent.
Designed to do more than smell good, each oil carries a therapeutic quality, and the fragrance you build reflects how you want to feel, not just how you want to smell.
In this workshop at our Financial District studio, you’ll explore a curated library of pure essential oils, learn how top, middle, and base notes work together, and blend them into a finished perfume that’s personal to you.
Your host walks you through the basics (what different oils do and how they interact) then you sample and test combinations at your own pace until you land on a blend that feels right, whether calming, energizing, or balancing.
With guidance on blending ratios and techniques, you refine your formula and bottle the finished product to take home.
No prior experience is needed, and the format works equally well solo, with friends, or as a team-building activity. Everyone crafts their own individual blend while sharing the experience together.

In-Person Cancellations
In-person workshop bookings can be cancelled up to 2 days before the session date. If you cancel within this window, you are eligible for a refund. In case of an emergency, you may reschedule your booking with notice.
Private In-Person Policy
Private in-person classes can be cancelled up to 7 days before the session date. If you cancel within this period, a refund will be issued. If your group size changes, contact KraftStories and they will do their best to accommodate added or removed participants. In the event of an emergency, rescheduling is possible with notice.
