What It Is
This is a live, hands-on virtual woodburning (pyrography) experience designed for beginners. Participants learn how to decorate wood using heat, starting with practice pieces before creating a finished charcuterie board.
The workshop focuses on safety, pacing, and confidence-building. By the end, participants leave with a functional, personalized board and the foundational skills to continue woodburning on their own.

Prep & Transfer
We begin by sizing your design to fit your wood piece. You’ll learn how to "improvise" a transfer using a soft pencil or carbon paper, tracing firmly to leave a clear guide for your burner to follow.
Tool Set-up & Safety
While your tool heats up (give it 5–10 minutes), we’ll focus on ventilation and safety. You’ll start with a thin tip for precision and get a "feel" for the heat by making practice lines on the back of your wood.
Burn the Design
Learn the "Slow & Steady" method. We’ll teach you to rotate the wood to match your hand, use a light touch to avoid getting stuck in the grain, and drag the tool rather than push it. We’ll also switch tips to fill and shade for a smooth, professional finish.
Fix & Finish
Mistakes are just part of the art! We’ll show you how to use sandpaper or a nail file to carefully sand away "oops" marks. Once your design is perfected, we’ll seal it so your work stays vibrant and protected.

This is an in-person workshop. No shipping required—all materials are provided at the venue.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
Cancellations made 7 days or more before the workshop date will receive a full refund. Cancellations made 3-6 days before the workshop will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made less than 3 days before the workshop are non-refundable. In case of emergency or extenuating circumstances, please contact us directly to discuss options.
