So this guide only covers what you can do without leaving the South Bay. Everything below runs at our Downtown San Jose studio. Public sessions cap at 24 people; book the room privately and it takes 60. Lead time is two days across the board, and every price includes materials, tools, instruction and the piece you carry out.

You hold a tufting gun, punch yarn into a frame, and a design appears in dense pile. It is loud, physical and slightly addictive, and it converts the “I'm not creative” crowd faster than anything else we run — because the gun does the skilled part and you only have to aim.
Best for:
the team that has done every escape room in the Bay. Budget the full 2.5 hours; it is the longest session here and the one that suffers most from being squeezed.

Layering soil, moss and plants into sealed glass takes just enough concentration to remove the pressure to perform, and not so much that nobody speaks. Conversation happens sideways, over the table — which is the only way it ever happens between people who have met on Zoom.
Best for:
mixed-seniority groups and anyone booking their first team event. It also leaves a living thing on every desk, which keeps referencing the afternoon for months.

Cut glass and beads set onto a glass globe, then grouted and lit before the session ends. It produces the longest stretch of quiet concentration of anything we run, which is precisely why the loudest and the quietest people in a team end up on equal footing.
Best for:
the offsite that needs one showpiece moment. Give it the full two hours — the grouting cannot be rushed.

Preserved moss, a frame and a free hand. There is no way to get it wrong, so people relax into it within a few minutes, and the finished piece hangs on a wall rather than gathering dust in a drawer.
Best for:
teams nervous that a craft session won't land, and anyone who wants the output on an office wall.

The mosaic technique from the lamp workshop, laid flat. Same satisfying sorting and placing of coloured glass, in ninety minutes rather than two hours.

teams curious about mosaic work but without an afternoon to give it.

Everyone blends a scent from an oil library, then names it. The blending is the real activity — people compare notes constantly, so the room is talking from minute two rather than minute twenty.
Best for:
one-hour slots and teams who have never met in person. Our strongest icebreaker in San Jose.

Blend a scent, pour, label, done. Calmer than the perfume session and everyone finishes at the same moment, which makes wrapping up easy when the next meeting starts at the top of the hour.

Hand-built pots and small vessels — pinched, coiled or slab-built depending on how ambitious the room feels. Messier than the terrarium and more personal for it.
Best for:
teams that have already done a terrarium session. Note that clay needs drying time, so nobody carries a finished piece out the same evening.

Arm-knitted chunky yarn, no needles, no technique. The lowest-commitment thing here in every sense, and everyone leaves with a blanket rather than a craft project.
Best for:
tight per-head budgets and the half of your team who are quietly dreading this. The cheapest option we run in San Jose.

How to choose
Three questions settle it almost every time.
- How long do you really have? Be honest about the fifteen minutes people spend arriving and finding the room. Under 90 minutes rules out tufting and the mosaic lamp.
- Does everyone need to finish together? Candles, terrariums and blankets land cleanly at the same moment. Clay needs drying time after the session.
- What happens to the object afterwards? Desk-sized things get referenced for months. Anything that needs a shelf at home tends to be forgotten by Friday.
