Workshops that look as good on camera as they feel in the room.
A workshop is a small thing to build a company around. We think that is the point — small, hands-on moments are exactly where trust gets built or lost, one guest at a time. Here is what we hold ourselves to.
Three commitments, and something underneath each one you can actually check.
Taught, not supervised. Beginner-friendly always. Inclusion designed in rather than requested. You know what an experience actually is — loud, messy, seated, physical — before you book it.
If we teach it, someone here can actually do it. We would rather run fewer crafts well than pad a menu with things nobody on our team truly knows.
Every original comes from a craft somebody else kept alive first. We name the tradition, teach the real method rather than a shortcut version, and train every host ourselves.
Six things that hold on every booking, in every city, whether you are two people on a date or a company of two hundred.
A host's job is to teach, adjust, and notice when someone is stuck — not to press play on a video and wait.
No workshop goes on sale until a first-timer has finished it. If a step is too hard, we rewrite the step. We do not filter the guest.
Not an accommodation you have to request. Sessions are designed so people with different physical abilities, experience levels and comfort with "art" sit at the same table and leave with something they are proud of.
If an experience is loud, messy, seated or physical, you will know going in. Tell us what you need and we will tell you honestly whether the room works.
Materials, tools, set-up and clean-up are in it. No per-person extras added at the table, no upsell mid-workshop.
Different rooms and different hosts across seven studios and virtual — one standard for materials and teaching.
We are a small company and we are not going to pretend otherwise. These are the things we can actually control, so these are the ones we hold ourselves to.
Turkish mosaic lamp work rooted in real heritage technique. Rug tufting taught properly rather than reduced to "point the gun here." We would rather run fewer crafts well than pad a menu with things nobody on our team truly knows.
Real glass, not acrylic. Preserved moss, not plastic. A piece you keep is the only version of this that makes sense — the one that goes in a drawer was a waste of everyone's afternoon. Ask about any material in any workshop and you will get a straight answer.
We are working on packing kits to be opened rather than unwrapped, and on putting offcuts, short lengths and broken glass back into the kids' studio and our sample work. We are not finished with this one, and we would rather say so than round up.
This page will get more specific as we do. If you spot something we should be doing better, write to us — that email gets read.

We did not want to build a business. We wanted to make something that contributes.
The traditions behind the originals
Mosaic glass, cut the way it is cut in Turkey
Block printing — carved, inked, pulled by hand
Coffee brewed in hot sand, as it has been for centuries
Preserved moss composed as a still lifeNo company runs thousands of sessions without a bad one. The commitment is not that it never happens — it is what we do in the hours after, and that a real person does it.
If something is wrong — the pace, the seat, the materials, the noise — say it while you are still there. Hosts can move you, slow down, restart a piece or bring more material without asking anyone for permission.
Every message that reaches us gets a written reply the same working day. It is not a ticket that disappears into a queue — the founders who started KraftStories are still involved in running it.
A remake, a credit or a refund, decided by what went wrong rather than by what is cheapest for us. You do not have to argue for it or repeat the story twice.
If the same thing goes wrong twice, the workshop is the problem, not the guest. It gets rewritten before it runs again.

Yes. The proposal you approve is the invoice you get. Anything added later — extra people, a second room, a longer session — is quoted and agreed before it happens, never assumed.
Nobody is graded here, but if you leave with something you do not want to keep, that is on the workshop rather than on you. Tell your host or write to us and we will put it right.
Access differs by studio — some are ground floor, some are up a flight. Inclusion is structural for us rather than something you have to request, but the buildings are what they are. Tell us what you need when you enquire and we will tell you honestly which of the seven rooms work, rather than hoping it will be fine on the day.
Ask before you book. Candle-making involves fragrance oils and terrariums involve soil and moss; we can swap materials in most workshops if we know in advance.
Our hosts are trained by us and work with us regularly, not sourced per event. It is the reason the same person can run a workshop every week and get better at it.
Write to us. Everything on this page is meant to be quoted back at us, and it is easier for you to do that if it is on a page with a URL.
